In addition to my formal training I have had many years of experience in group analytic work. I have also undertaken a significant personal therapy in Group Analysis and have had a long period in analysis with a Psychoanalyst. I’m currently undergoing an advanced training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), London.
About me
I hold clinical qualifications in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Group Analysis from the Institute of Group Analysis, (IGA) London to Masters level.
I am registered as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Group Analyst with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I’m a professional member of the Institute of Group Analysis (please click for information). I abide by strict codes of conduct.
In addition to my private practice I have clinical experience in various health settings, having worked as a Psychotherapist in outpatient NHS psychotherapy departments, and for GP’s in Health Centres. I have been involved in the training of counsellors and psychotherapists with Wessex Counselling Service (please click for information), facilitated experiential groups and supported students individually. I have led a project funded by charity to provide a counselling service for young people aged between 15 and 18 years who find it difficult to access counselling. I have substantial experience in community and hospital settings with individuals with physical and mental illness, their families and carers.
I am interested in the link between physical and emotional health and have run a group for individuals with secondary breast cancer.
